Un été à Paris / A summer in Paris

De retour des Pays-bas début juillet, j'ai passé le reste de l'été à Paris. Je m'étais imaginé un été rempli d'expositions et de ballades. Ce ne fut pas exactement le cas. L'été ne restera pas dans ma mémoire comme le meilleur de ma vie mais j'ai passé de bons moments, notamment avec mon M.

Back from the Netherland in July, I spend the rest of the summer in Paris. I had imagined a summer full of exhibitions and walks. It was not exactly the case. The summer will not stay in my memory as the best summer of my life but I spend quite a lot of good time with my M.

Mais Paris vidé de ses habitants est agréable. Il fait chaud et beau, on est juste bien, pendant quelques instants.

But Paris, empty of most of its inhabitants is nice. It's warm and beautiful, you're just fine for a little while.
